Rain Gardens & Drainage Solutions
Rain Garden Design:
•
Do you have a drainage problem on your property?
•
Does the gutter runoff stream down your lawn taking quality topsoil with it?
Rainwater runoff, rocky terrain and improper grading during home construction can create a serious water drainage problem around your home. We specialize in finding beautiful and structurally correct solutions to your problems through the use of rainwater redirection, underground piping from your downspouts and rain gardens to trap water and return it naturally to the water table.
Solve your drainage problems and beautify your landscape with a rain garden!
A rain garden is a shallow bed created with beautiful native plants that collect runoff and contain it for a short time to allow the plant roots to purify the water and slowly release it back into the ground. The design can be a simple below-grade area or a complex bed with various levels and types of plant material.
The professionals at BLD Gardens have been trained at Rutgers University in basic and advanced design, installation and maintenance of rain gardens.

If a rain garden isn't the solution for your home, we can determine the extent of the runoff problem and design a system of underground piping to take the water from your downspouts to the city storm drain.
We can camouflage the drainage with an elegant dry creek bed or hide the pipe completely underground. We can even create a system to take the water collected from your downspouts and water your beds or feed a water feature.
